Actor Abigail Spencer is all set to return to the 18th season of Grey's Anatomy. The actor had recurred as Dr Megan Hunt in seasons 14 and 15 of the ABC medical drama. The news comes days after it was announced that actor Kate Walsh will reprise her role as Dr Addison Montgomery in the upcoming season.

The series explores the lives of surgical interns, residents and attendings as they develop into practicing doctors while balancing personal and professional relationships. Kate Walsh first made her appearance in the series' Season 1 finale. In her comeback, she is expected to feature in multiple episodes.

Spencer's Hunt is the younger sister of Dr Owen Hunt, who served in the US Army as a trauma surgeon with Owen, Teddy Altman and Nathan Riggs. She now lives in Los Angeles with her son Farouk, a Syrian refugee who she first began caring for while working. Other than Spencer and Walsh, Kim Raver will also return and is set to be made as a series regular.

Grey's Anatomy was created and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes. Krista Vernoff serves as showrunner and executive producer. Betsy Beers and Mark Gordon are executive producers. Debbie Allen is the producing director and executive producer.

Spencer will be first seen when Grey's Anatomy's season 18 premieres on Thursday, September 30 on ABC.
