CE Features

The first trailer for Peacemaker, featuring John Cena as the titular superhero, was unveiled at DC FanDome. The former WWE star reprises his role as Christopher 'Peacemaker' Marks after debuting the character in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad earlier this year.

The video features Cena's Peacemaker doing what he had promised in the film - achieve peace no matter how many men, women and children are to be killed. We also see him having a troubled relationship with his father Auggie Smith, played by actor Robert Patrick who is known for playing the antagonist in Terminator 2: Judgement day.

The series also stars Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, and Chukwudi Iwuji. Characters from The Suicide Squad are also expected to make an appearance in the upcoming series.

The film's director James Gunn has written all the episodes for Peacemaker and will also direct five out of the eight episodes of the first season. The series is set to premiere on Thursday, January 13, 2022, while the streaming platform is yet to be announced.
