Marvel Cinematic Universe's Indian fans are having a field day on social media thanks to the regional versions of Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. A Twitter user pointed out that a scene in the film, where the lead actors talk about beef, has been changed in the regional dubbed versions.

In the original scene, Shang Chi (Simu Liu) and his friend Katy (Awkwafina) are offered a choice between a vegetarian and beef meal onboard a flight for which the two opt for the latter. The line seems to have changed in the dubbed versions of the film, which came out recently on the streaming platform. In the Hindi version, the dialogue has been altered to a choice between veg and non-veg biriyani. The Malayalam version has bread omelette while it's upma in the Tamil iteration.

Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, which had a theatrical release this September, opened to positive reviews and was praised for the choreography of the action sequences, exploration and representation of Asian culture, and the performances from the cast, particularly those of Liu and Leung.
