Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson to star in The Legend Of Ochi

Willem Dafoe and Emily Watson will be teaming up for the fantasy epic The Legend Of Ochi, which is currently in works at A24. The film will also feature Finn Wolfhard and Helena Zengel in prominent roles. 

Directed by Isaiah Saxon, who has several music videos to his credit, in his directorial debut, the film will tell the story of a young girl, played by Zengel, who runs away from home and learns to talk to a rare species of an animal named Ochi. 

The film will have an original screenplay by Saxon, and will feature an original score by Dave Longstreth, who has earlier worked with Saxon on several projects.

The Legend of Ochi will be produced by Saxon and Encyclopedia Pictura in association with Neighborhood Watch and Year of the Rat. The Russo Brothers will also be serving as executive producers while A24 will finance and distribute the film worldwide. A release date is yet to be announced.
