Channing Tatum, Tom Hardy team up for film about the Afghanistan evacuation

Actors Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy are attached to star in a new film on Afghanistan evacuation. The film will be directed by George Nolfi who has previously helmed films like The Adjustment Bureau and Birth of the Dragon. He has also written for films like Ocean's Twelve and The Bourne Ultimatum.

The film will reportedly follow the trials and tribulations of three former special forces team members who risk their lives to rescue multiple families and allies left behind during the fall of Afghanistan. According to sources, another star is expected to join the film. The release date for the project is yet to be announced. 

Meanwhile, Tatum has a film titled Dog, which he is co-directing alongside Reid Carolin. He also has The Lost City co-starring Sandra Bullock. On the other hand, Hardy has recently wrapped filming for Netflix’s upcoming thriller, Havoc.
