Savannah Lee Smith, Owen Patrick Joyner to star in Something Her

The film marks Smith's first role in a feature film

Savannah Lee Smith of Gossip Girl-fame and Owen Patrick Joyner, best-known for his role in the Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms, will be starring in Something Here, a musical currently in development at Monarch Media.

The film tells the story of Samantha Abrams, played by Smith, a high school senior who develops feelings for Dillon, played by Joyner, a high school athlete, after she moves to a rural community from New York City. The film marks Smith's first role in a feature film.

The film, which is set to enter production on November 13, will be directed by TK McKamy, who has several music videos to his credit, and has a screenplay by Alan Powell, Steve Barnett, and David Bush.

Tyler Hubbard will compose the music along with Sam Sumser and Sean Small.
