BookMyShow to become the first TVOD platform to roll out TV Series On-Demand

The ticket-booking website BookMyShow which started its own Transaction Video-on-Demand (TVOD) streaming platform named BookMyShow Stream a while ago has now introduced a new content format. The TVOD platform will now expand its entertainment library by becoming the first one to roll out TV Series On-Demand.

In a statement, it was stated that the category will be named BookMyShow Stream Originals and it will "host titles and content across an array of genres from all over the world including crime, drama, thriller, Sci-Fi, mystery, and comedy." The first title to stream on the platform will be the Danish-Swedish mini-series The Investigation helmed by Tobias Lindholm. The series will stream on December 17th.

The statement also said, "BookMyShow Stream will offer users the option to rent a TV series of their choice for a finite duration or buy it for unlimited access. The Investigation will be followed by a slew of titles that will premiere on the platform each fortnight over the next few months including The Trip Franchise (English), Miramar Murders (Spanish), The Sketch Artist (French), The Sister (English), Hard Sun (English), The Witnesses (German), Dark Woods (German), Dalgleish (English) to name a few, with most of these titles available under BMS Originals."
