Florence Pugh had shared stills of herself as Yelena Belova in Hawkeye on her Instagram handle. However, the post on Instagram was pulled down after fans of MCU complained. They said that the star had spoiled the show for them and trolled her too.

Speaking of the same, Pugh said, "I never thought me posting love about a show in which I appear on would get taken down..but here we are." She added, "Someone on here complained so I’ve been blocked from posting my own appearance on a show that I’m very much in. Beyond ridiculous.”

Pugh also wrote in a follow-up Instagram story, "Being in Hawkeye is a privilege and thank you to all who welcomed me on set and off and all who are watching."

Pugh returned to Marvel Cinematic Universe after her outing in Black Widow, as Natasha Romanoff's sister, who was after Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) for causing her sister's death. Her return was teased in the post-credit scenes of the film, but there was no official confirmation as to when Yelena would appear in the web series.

Hawkeye premiered on November 24 and can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. It stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in lead roles.
