Peaky Blinders Season 6 teaser out: Alfie Solomons returns in Cillian Murphy-starrer

CE Features

Anthony Byrne, the director of Peaky Blinders season 6 released a short teaser for the upcoming season of the BBC One show on Instagram. The teaser featured a conversation between Cillian Murphy's Thomas Shelby and Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons.

During the conversation, Murphy said, "I think I may have written your final act." In season 4 of Peaky Blinders, Alfie was shot in the face and many believed him to be dead. In season 5, however, compelling hints built up to reveal that the leader of the Jewish gang in Camden town had indeed survived.

Shelby's claim in the teaser, however, spells something ominous for Alfie. The editing of the final episode of the show was completed recently, but there is still some work left to be done behind the scenes.

Along with the teaser, BBC One also revealed the expected release time. Peaky Blinders season 6 is set to premiere sometime in early 2022.

This edition of the show is the final season. The world of Peaky Blinders will continue to thrive on the big screen with the film based on characters from Peaky Blinders show set to begin in 2023. Season 6 will also see Paul Anderson return as Arthur Shelby, Finn Cole as Michael Gray, and Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne.

Sam Clafin's return as Oswald Mosley was confirmed by Byrne. The show will drop on Netflix after its release on BBC One if it follows the previous release schedule.
