Hollywood stars Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke will star in Apple's upcoming feature Raymond and Ray. The film is an Apple Original movie that is backed by Amazon Studios.

Written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the film follows half-brothers Raymond (McGregor) and Ray (Ethan Hawke) who have lived in the shadow of a terrible father. Somehow, they still each have a sense of humor, and his funeral is a chance for them to reinvent themselves. There’s anger, there’s pain, there’s folly, there might be love, and there’s definitely grave-digging.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron will produce the movie alongside Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn. Gabriela Rodriguez and Shea Kammer will serve as executive producers.

McGregor, a four-time Primetime Emmy nominee, most recently starred in Warner Bros' Birds of Prey. He also stars in Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Doug Liman’s Everest, Jimmy Giannopoulos’ The Birthday Cake, and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio at Netflix.

Hawke, a four-time Oscar nominee, will be seen in Antoine Fuqua’s The Guilty, Knives Out 2The Black Phone, The Northman, and Marvel’s Moon Knight.
