Actor Anya Taylor-Joy and director Robert Eggers are teaming up once again for a remake of the 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu, which was loosely based on Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The duo first worked together in the 2015 period supernatural horror film The Witch, which marked Taylor-Joy's film debut and Eggers' feature directorial debut. Taylor-Joy has also worked with Eggers in the upcoming Viking revenge drama The Northman, co-starring Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard.

The Nosferatu remake was first announced in 2015, after the premiere of The Witch at the Sundance Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Taylor-Joy has a flurry of films upcoming including the psychological horror film Last Night in Soho, directed by Edgar Wright; The Menu by Mark Mylod; George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa, and the thriller Laughter in the Dark with The Queen Gambit co-creator Scott Frank.
