Ryan Whitney Newman on board Ronald Reagan biopic feature

Actor Ryan Whitney Newman has joined the cast of Reagan, the indie biopic of the 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan.

Headlined by Dennis Quaid, the film follows Reagan's journey from his childhood to the White House. Newman is set to play Margaret “Mugs” Cleaver, Reagan's first love, opposite David Henrie, who is playing a younger version of the president.

Written by Howard Klausner, the film is directed by Sean McNamara. The film's cast also includes Penelope Ann Miller, Mena Suvari, Lesley-Anne Down, Kevin Dillon, and Jon Voight among others.

Produced by Mark Joseph, the film is set for release in 2022.

Newman is best known for her regular roles on series like Zeke, Luther, See Dad Run and The Thundermans. She has also appeared in the films Monster House and Zoom.
