Universal Pictures has announced that the tenth instalment of Fast and Furious is set for a release on April 7, 2023.

Said to be the second to last film in the franchise, Fast and Furious 10 will be directed by Justin Lin. The film was originally slated to hit theatres on April 2 of this year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent delays had pushed the production further, with F9 releasing only on June 25.

The cast of the film has not been revealed yet, however, it is expected that Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez will return. Entertainment Weekly reported that Dwayne Johnson will not return to the franchise, and there is no confirmation as to whether John Cena will reprise his role.

Notably, F9 is the highest-grossing movie during the pandemic around the world. grossing over $681.5 million worldwide. The film is set to hit theatres in India on September 3.
