Amazon Prime Video has signed up Hustlers-fame Julia Stiles, Orphan Black star Jordan Gavaris and actor Madison Shamoun for its first scripted Canadian original series, The Lake. The half-hour comedy will be shot in northern Ontario from August to September.

Written and executive produced by Killjoys-fame Julian Doucet, The Lake revolves around the classic Canadian cottage experience.

Jon Dore, Carolyn Scott, Natalie Lisinka, Travis Nelson and Declan Whaley are also a part of the cast.

The Lake is the fourth announced Canadian Amazon original series. Previous projects include the return of the sketch comedy The Kids in the Hall, the documentary All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs, and the comedy series LOL: Last One Laughing Canada.

Netflix is expected to launch The Lake in 2022.
