The trailer for Silence directed by Hemanth Madhukar, starring Madhavan and Anushka Shetty, is out now. The suspense-thriller follows the story of Sakshi (Anushka Shetty), an artist with speech impairment and Anthony (R Madhavan), a popular musician. The Amazon Prime release is titled Silence in Tamil and Malayalam, and Nishabdham in Telugu.

The trailer manages to maintain the suspense without revealing the story. The film also has Anjali and Shalini Pandey playing important roles. Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, who is known for his roles in The Hateful Eight (2015) and Pulp Fiction (1994), plays the role of police officer Richard Dawkins in the thriller.

Goodachari-fame DOP Shaneil Deo is the film's cinematographer, while Gopi Sunder has provided the background score.

The film is set to premiere on Amazon Prime release on October 2, competing against two big ZeePlex releases – Vijay Sethupathi’s Ka Pae Ranasingam and Ishaan Khattar’s Khaali Peeli.
