Trailer of Adivi Sesh-starrer Evaru released by Nani

Actor Nani released the theatrical trailer of Adivi Sesh-starrer Evaru earlier today. Directed by debutant Venkat Ramji, the film also starring Regina Cassandra and Naveen Chandra, is the remake of Spanish crime thriller, The Invisible Guest (2017), directed by Oriol Paulo.

The trailer follows an interaction between a tainted cop Vikram Vasudev (Adivi Sesh) and a businesswoman (Regina Cassandra), in which the latter vehemently denies killing her friend (Naveen Chandra) and insists that he tried to rape her. Going by the film’s tagline 'Every story has a secret', it seems safe to assume that there's more to it than meets the eye. 

“When Ramji narrated the script, I couldn’t guess the plot twist. The film shows every character as two-faced and the narrative keeps changing every 20 minutes. So you can't trust anyone and I believe the story has an element of thrill, suspense, and drama to engage the audience,” said Sesh at the trailer launch event. 

The same Spanish film was recently remade in Hindi as Badla, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. While the Spanish and Hindi versions revolve around the same basic plot, the Telugu version has undergone several script changes, including the lawyer’s character being replaced by a cop.
