Director Jude Anthany Joseph's Malayalam film 2018, which released recently, is set to have releases in other languages as well, owing to its success. Ahead of the Telugu version release on Friday, actor Naga Chaitanya took to social media to laud the film and team behind it.

2018 is based on the flash floods that took place in 2018. The film weaves in several stories of people who get stranded as the disaster strikes. Jude and his co-writer Akhil P Dharmajan took inspiration from several real-life incidents to script the film as a hyperlink thriller. The film went on to become one of the commercial success of Malayalam industry this year.
