Oscar Nominations 2023: Suriya congratulates team RRR for Naatu Naatu nod

India is currently celebrating the recognition that has come to RRR in the form of an Oscar nomination for the Naatu Naatu number. People have been congratulating SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravaani for going one step closer to making history at the Academy Awards.

The latest to join the list of well-wishers is actor Suriya, who took to his social media accounts to congratulate the team.

Suriya said, "Hearty congratulations on the Oscar Nominations 2023, SS Rajamouli sir, MM Keeravaani sir, Chandrabose, Kaala Bhairava, Rahul Sipligunj, choreographer Prem Rakshit, and the energetic moves by my brother, NTR Jr and Ram Charan. Best Wishes for the win." 

Naatu Naatu became the first song from an Indian film to be nominated for the Oscars. The song, composed by MM Keeravaani and written by Chandrabose, has won a nomination for both these talents.

Earlier, the song took home the award in the same category in the Golden Globes and Critics' Choice awards.
