Allu Arha wraps up dubbing for Shaakuntalam

The trailer of Samantha’s upcoming film, Shaakuntalam was released recently and it introduced Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha Arjun as young prince Bharata. In the story, Prince Bharata is the son of Shakuntala and Dushyantha. The makers of the film revealed on Friday that Allu Arha has successfully completed dubbing for her role in the film.

Shaakuntalam, produced by Neelima Guna, is based on Kalidasa’s novel of the same name.  It was shot extensively around Hyderabad, including Ramoji Film City, Ananthagiri Hills, and Gandipet Lake. While Samantha will be playing the titular role, Dev Mohan will be playing Dushyanta.  Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan, Gautami, and Ananya Nagalla, will be playing pivotal roles. Shaakuntalam is slated for release on February 17.

Apart from the original Telugu version, Shaakuntalam will also be simultaneously dubbed into Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. While the film was initially supposed to have been released in November 2022, the makers postponed citing 3D effects.
