SS Rajamouli, the director of RRR, is elated as the film's celebrated dance number Naatu Naatu bagged the Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category.

Taking to Twitter, Rajamouli wrote, "SPEECHLESS Music truly knows no boundaries. Congratulations & thank you PEDDANNA for giving me Naatu Naatu. This one is special. I thank each & every fan across the globe for shaking their leg & making it popular ever since the release Golden Globes."

The song, composed by MM Keeravani, beat other nominees, including Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads SingCiao Papa from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick and Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Naatu Naatu has lyrics penned by Chandrabose, while Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaa lent their voices. Prem Rakshith choreographed the song, which won appreciation for its electrifying beats and dance moves across the world. Videos of the audience celebrating, cheering and dancing to the song during the film's screening in America have doing rounds for months now. Even earlier this week, during the film's screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, the song was received with great enthusiasm with many patrons rushing to dance in front of the screen. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
