Golden Globes 2023: Mammootty and Mohanlal wish team RRR for Naatu Naatu's win

Malayalam actors Mammootty and Mohanlal have extended their wishes to the entire team of RRR as the film's song Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song Award at the Golden Globe.

Taking to Twitter, Mammootty wrote, "Delighted to see the world stand up for Indian Cinema." (sic) He congratulated music composer MM Keeravani, director SS Rajamouli, actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan."

Mohanlal also wished the team for making India proud at the Golden Globes. "Naatu Naatu deserves the spotlight to celebrate this well-deserved success and a historic milestone," he wrote. (sic)

It may be noted that the song bet nominees, including Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads SingCiao Papa from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick and Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The song received appreciation for its electrifying beats and dance moves. Videos of the audience celebrating, cheering and dancing to the song during the film's screening in America have doing rounds for months now. Even earlier this week, during the film's screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, the song was received with great enthusiasm and many patrons were seen rushing to dance in front of the screen.

Produced by DVV Entertainment,  RRR is a fictional story that revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), and their fight against the British Raj.
