Dhanush's cover version of the popular Mastaaru Mastaaru number from Sir was released by the film's makers today.

The actor also sang Mastaaru Mastaaru's Tamil version, Vaa Vaathi, which was released today. The original song featured the vocals of Shweta Mohan in both versions. While the lyrics of Vaa Vaathi were written by the film's lead actor Dhanush, the Telugu lyrics were provided by Ramajogayya Sastry.

The lyrical video of the song features behind-the-scenes footage of Dhanush singing in the studio, alongside deleted footage from the film, where the love story of Samyuktha and Dhanush's characters from the second half of the film is displayed along with a scene of them getting married.

Here's the video:

Sir, written and directed by Venky Atluri, is Dhanush's debut film in Telugu. Also starring Samuthirakani, Hyper Aadi, Tanikella Bharani, Sumanth, Hareesh Peradi and Aadukulam Naren, Sir is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

With music provided by GV Prakash Kumar, J Yuvraj is the cinematographer of Sir, with Navin Nooli and Avinash Kolla providing editing and production design for the film, respectively.
