Vaathi/Sir first single to drop soon

The first single of Vaathi/Sir, the upcoming bilingual film featuring actor Dhanush in the lead role, is set to drop soon. Giving an update about the same, the composer of the film, GV Prakash revealed that the first song released will be a romantic number, with Dhanush penning it.

Vaathi/Sir is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual which will be releasing in theatres on December 2. It is directed by Venkat Atluri. Vaathi will be fifth release for the actor this year, after Maaran, The Gray Man, Thiruchitrambalam, and Naane Varuvean.

The film, which features Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren and Ilavarasu. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by J Yuvraj. The film is being produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has a number of projects lined up. He is currently working with filmmaker Arun Matheswaran for period action drama Captain Miller. He also has a film with Sekhar Kammula and expected to join hands with Mari Selvaraj for another film after Karnan. The actor was last seen in Naane Varuvean, directed by his brother and filmmaker Selvaraghavan. A psychological horror, the film features Dhanush in dual roles and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
