RRR enjoys a phenomenal run in Japan, crosses 185 million at the box office

 Director SS Rajamouli’s action adventure film RRR was recently released in Japan and has become a box office success in the country. With around 1,22,727 ticket sales, the film has managed to pull off a ¥185 million at the Japanese box office.

 It is worth noting that the film was released only three weeks ago in Japan. The film released in India on 22 March 2022 in all major Indian languages and enjoyed a massive box office success. After a couple of weeks, the film gained attention from the overseas audience and the momentum only got higher with notable Hollywood personalities like James Gunn, Ray Stevenson, and Olivia Morris praising the film.  

The director, along with the lead stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR, recently went on a tour to Japan to promote the film. During their time in Japan, they met popular Japanese video game developer Hideo Kojima, who revealed that he was a big fan of RRR along with Rajamouli’s previous films like Bahubali and Eega. RRR has become the first ever Indian film to have such a big overseas box office reception.
