Shankar on SS Rajamouli's RRR: Ravishing, Riveting, Robust

The RRR storm is at its peak, and, now, filmmaker Shankar has praised SS Rajamouli's magnum opus epic.

On Twitter, Shankar praised the film's director Rajamouli and lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, and wrote, "Ravishing, Riveting, Robust. A Roar that’ll echo throughout times.Thanks to the whole team for an unparalleled experience. Ram Charan - Raging Performance & Screen presence. Jr NTR‘s Radiant Bheem captivates your heart. Ur imagination stays undefeated, hats off “MahaRaja”mouli. (sic)"

Touted as one of India's biggest films, RRR opened to theatres yesterday (25th March), and has garnered overwhelmingly positive responses from the audience. According to the film's producers, the film has grossed over Rs 223 crores on day 1.

RRR is produced by DVV Danayya and has a story written by KV Vijayendra Prasad. The music for the project is composed by MM Keeravani with cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani among others in pivotal roles.

Notably, Shankar and Ram Charan are also collaborating for a film that is tentatively titled RC 15. Produced by Dil Raju, RC 15 also features Srikanth, Naveen Chandra, Jayaram, and Sunil in supporting roles. SJ Suryah is rumoured to be playing the antagonist of the film. Shankar also has Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2 in production.
