Ramarao On Duty director clarifies "no politics" in film

The director of Ravi Teja’s film Ramarao On Duty, Sarath Mandava, has issued clarification that the film does not touch upon the politics of the Telugu states, on social media.

The film opened to theatres on Friday.

The director tweeted, “Based on a small clip some news being spread that #RamaRaoOnDuty has some political scenes. A BIG NO! There are no scenes no story relevant to politics our Telugu states. It’s a thriller based on missing people. NO POLITICS in our film @SLVCinemasOffl pls note.”

Ramarao On Duty is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas LLP and RT Teamworks banners. On the eve of the release, the makers had put up a note saying, “We request you come to theatres from tomorrow with an open mind and enjoy the movie. Do not miss the beginning and stay till the end for the best experience. The first scene is critical for further proceedings. Be in time for your show.”

The action thriller features Divyansha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan as the female leads. Ramarao On Duty marks Rajisha's debut in the Telugu film industry.
