Earlier we had reported that Dulquer Salmaan’s film Sita Ramam was facing a ban in gulf countries like UAE, on the grounds that it was deemed unfit for their audience. However, the makers have announced recently that the film has cleared the censor procedure in UAE and will release on Thursday.

While the ban was followed in other Gulf countries as well such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, it is unclear if the film will release in other Middle East countries as well.

Sita Ramam stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, among others in pivotal role. The period romantic drama is set against the backdrop of 1965 and 1985 and follows the love story of Lieutenant Ram and Sita, against the backdrop of Indian Army. The film is helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi.

Sita Ramam is currently running in theatres in India.
