Beast trailer out: Nelson-Vijay film promises a fun, exciting ride

The trailer of Vijay-starrer Beast was released on April 2 at 6 pm. The film, directed by Nelson, is touted to be a fun spy thriller, and it stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Selvaraghavan also plays a pivotal role in this film.

The trailer, in fact, kicks off with Selvaraghavan's narration. It introduces Vijay as Vijayaraghavan, one of the best special ops soldiers who is coincidentally stuck in the hostage situation. The government tries to use his expertise to help the hostages escape the situation, but find themselves in trouble when he proves to be out of control.  

His mission is to resolve the hostage situation, which takes place in a mall, but the trailer also teases Vijayaraghavan serving his time in warzones. From piloting a fighter jet, and using guns to shoot down his opponents, to striking them dead with knives and swords — the video packs a punch.

Beast also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley will be seen in supporting roles. The film slated to be released on April 13, is produced by Sun Pictures. The music for this film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and two songs from the film have already been released. They are Jolly Gymkhana and Arabic Kuthu. The cinematography for the film is by Manoj Paramahamsa, and the editor on board this project is R Nirmal.
