Nelson reveals his dream star cast if he helms Vijay's next

Director Nelson Dilipkumar had revealed whom would he have cast as Vijay's co-stars in Thalapathy 69.

Applying his Jailer formula of bringing in top stars of each industry, Nelson said he would rope in Shah Rukh Khan, Mammootty and Mahesh Babu as Vijay's friends, and Nayanthara and Alia Bhatt as the heroines, for a hypothetical question he was asked in a recent award ceremony.

Vijay was last seen in Leo, starring Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun, was released on 2023 to mixed reviews but went on become a commercial hit.

Meanwhile, Vijay is busy shooting for Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) directed by Venkat Prabhu. Rajinikanth has finished filming for Vettaiyan with TJ Gnanavel which is scheduled for a theatrical release on October without specifying a date yet. His 171st film with Lokesh Kanagaraj has been titled Coolie, it will go on floors on June.
