Veera Raja Veera song from Ponniyin Selvan 2 is out 

The video for Veera Raja Veera song from Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released online on Tuesday. Composed by AR Rahman, the song has lyrics penned by Ilango Krishnan. Shankar Mahadevan, KS Chitra, and Harini have lent their voices to the song. 

Veera Raja Veera features Jayam Ravi and Sobhita Dhulipala. The song is praised for the valour of Ponniyin Selvan, played by Jayam Ravi.

Adapted by Mani Ratnam along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan, from the text of Kalki Krishnamurthy, the film was released in two parts, the first part hit the screens in September 2022, and the second released on April 28. both the films opened to positive reception, and the first part of the film was a colossal hit, grossing 500 crores at the box office. 

Ponniyin Selvan, which is set in the reign of the Chola empire, boasts an ensemble cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles, along with cast comprising Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others.

Backed by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan has music scored by AR Rahman. The post-theatrical rights of the film are bagged by Prime Video.
