Hearty congratulations to my student Soori: Suseenthiran pens a note

Soori's first film as a lead, Vetrimaaran-helmed Viduthalai Part 1 has released in theatres on Friday. On the occasion of the film's release, director Suseenthiran penned a note congratulating Soori for his first film as a lead.

In Tamil, the director wrote, "My heartiest congratulations to my student Soori who steps into the next dimension of his life as the lead with the film Viduthalai."

While Suseenthiran made his debut with Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Soori rose to fame as 'Parotta Soori' from a comic scene from the film. Further, Soori has acted in many Suseenthiran films, including Naan Mahaan Alla, Pandiya Naadu, Jeeva and Paayum Puli, among others. 

Viduthalai Part 1 also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Bhavani Sre in prominent roles. Produced by Elred Kumar under his banner RS Infotainment, Viduthalai Part 1 has music composed by Ilaiyaraja. The technical team of Viduthalai consists of cinematographer R Velraj and editor R Ramar. and action choreographer Peter Hein.
