New BTS video from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan II out

The makers of Ponniyin Selvan II, the sequel to Mani Ratnam's magnum opus, have released a BTS video from the sets of the film. The minute-long snippet shows Vikram as Aditha Karikalan, Jayam Ravi as Ponniyin Selvan and Karthi as Vandhiyathevan from the film. It also features Jayaram, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai, among other cast members.

The video shows a glimpse of all the fun the cast members of Ponniyin Selvan II had while shooting the film. 

Just like the first film, Ponniyin Selvan II would also be released in the IMAX format. The epic period film also features, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban among others. 

The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, Ponniyin Selvan was shot by Ravi Varman, while AR Rahman composed the music. The technical crew includes editor A Sreekar Prasad and production designer Thota Tharani. 

Ponniyin Selvan II will hit theatres worldwide on April 28.
