Vaathi audio launch to happen on this date? 

Dhanush's Vaathi/Sir, directed by Venky Atluri is slated for release on February 17. The film, set in the 90s has Dhanush playing a junior school teacher named Balamurgan.  While the cast of the film hasn't begun promotions in full swing yet, reports now suggest that the audio launch of the film is likely to happen on February 4. However, we await official confirmation from the makers. 

Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead in Vaathi, which also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren, and Ilavarasu. It has cinematography by J Yuvraj and music by GV Prakash Kumar. 

The makers of Vaathi have already released two songs titled Vaa Vaathi and Naadodi Mannan respectively. With music by GV Prakash, Vaa Vaathi is written by Dhanush and sung by Shweta Mohan. The Telugu version of the song is titled, Mastaaru Mastaaru, and is penned by Ramjogaiah Sastry. Nadodi Mannan, written by Yugabharathi, is sung by Antony Daasan.
