Jitham Ramesh to don three get-ups for Rote No.17

Jithan Ramesh's next has been titled Route No.17. The thriller is directed by Abhilash G Devan, a former associate of critically acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Thambi Kannamthanam and produced by Dr. Amar Ramachandran. Abhilash previously helmed Thai Nilam, which has won multiple International Awards. 

Starring Anju Pandiya a former air hostess as the female lead character, the film has Hareesh Peradi playing the antagonist. Route No.17 also stars Aruvi fame Madhan, Amar Ramchandran, Nihal and Akil Prabhakaran.

Malayalam music director, Ouseppachan is composing music for this film, which has lyrics by Yugabharathi, Ku. Karthik and Kavignar Senthamizhdasan.

“The film’s title signifies an isolated path inside a forest. The path that was open 30 years ago gets shut down and trespassers, who choose to travel along this path, are mysteriously found dead on the same night. The series of mysterious events are interwoven with an emotional backstory," 

The film is a tale of revenge set in three different periods between the years 1990 & 2020. Jithan Ramesh appears in three different looks over the period.

Akhilesh Mohan, the editor of Prithviraj-Mohanlal duo’s Bro Daddy and forthcoming project Lucifer 2 is editing the film. Route No.17 has cinematography by Prashanth Pranavam.
