Vaa Vaathi song from Dhanush-starrer Vaathi is one of the most loved songs in recent times. While the original song is sung by Shweta Mohan, Dhanush joined her for a live performance during the audio launch.

Now, a few days after the film's release, Dhanush surprised his fans by releasing a reprised version of Vaa Vaathi. The video features Dhanush singing the song in the recording studio. The song is also penned by Dhanush.

Featuring Samyuktha Menon as the lead, Vaathi also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren and Ilavarasu. With cinematography by J Yuvraj, Vaathi is backed by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. The film was released in the theatres on February 17.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has a number of projects lined up. He is currently working with filmmaker Arun Matheswaran for the period action drama Captain Miller and is set to work with Sekhar Kammula.
