Sarjun's Burqa gets an OTT release date

Filmmaker Sarjun KM's upcoming film Burqa, starring Kalaiyarasan and Mirnaa, is all set to make its OTT premiere on Aha Tamil on April 7. The film was a nominee of three film festivals including the Regina Film Festival and the New York Indian Film Festival. 

Burqa revolves around two strangers who are forced to spend a night together. They develop a liking for each other through their conversation and also discuss gender and religion-based discrimination. 

The technical team of Burqa consists of cinematographer G Balamurugan, music composer R Sivatmikha, and editor B Pravin Baaskar. The film's screenplay has been penned by Anusuya Vasudevan. 

Kalaiyarasan, who was last seen in Pathu Thala, has 2018, Titanic Kadhalum Kavundhu Pogum, and Mugam in various stages of production. Sarjun last made Blood Money, starring Priya Bhavani Shankar and Sirish in the lead. Mirnaa, on the other hand, was last seen in Priya's Anantham and is said to be playing a role in Rajinikanth's Jailer.
