Rajinikanth heaps praise on Pa Ranjith's Natchathiram Nagargiradhu

Actor Rajinikanth has congratulated director Pa Ranjith for his recently released film Natchathiram Nagargiradhu.

Rajini noted that Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is Ranjith's best work till date. The filmmaker, who directed Rajini in Kabali and Kaala, took to Twitter to share the words of appreciation that he received from Rajinikanth.  He wrote, "I am extremely touched by the appreciation from our Superstar Rajinikanth sir, (who), after watching 'Natchathiram Nagargiradhu'. 'This is your best work in terms of direction, writing, casting the performers, art, cinematography, music, so far' are the exact words that he quoted. Thank you sir."

Set against a theatre backdrop, the film explores romance ranging from heterosexual to queer. The film also focuses on the caste politics attached to the theme of love. The film stars Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, among many others. It was released in the theatres on August 31.

Produced by Yaazhi Films and Neelam Production, the technical crew includes Kishor Kumar, editor Selva RK, and music composer Tenma.
