Nikil Murukan's Powder gets a release date

Powder, the upcoming film which marks PRO Nikil Murukan's acting debut, will release on November 25. 

Directed by Vijay Sri G, the film is produced by Jaya Sree Vijay under the G Media banner. Nikil plays a cop in Powder. As per the trailer, the film revolves around the brutal crime of human flesh trade, cannibalism and how the policemen hunt down the culprits and burst the racket.

The film also stars Vidya Pradeep, Shantini Deva, Vijay Sri G, Motta Rajendran, Singampuli and Vaiyapuri, among others. The technical crew includes music composer Leander Lee Marty, director of photography Raja Pandi, editor Guna and art director Saravana.

Meanwhile, in an earlier interaction with Cinema Express, Nikil Murukan said, "(Director)Vijay felt that the role of a serious cop, with a fun side to him, aligned with my own persona. I asked him if he truly believed that I could do justice to the role. When he said yes, we went ahead after about 15 days of rehearsal.”
