Arun Vijay to headline Bala's Vanangaan? 

It was recently announced that actor Suriya has stepped down from playing the lead role in director Bala’s upcoming film Vanangaan.  The project was announced officially and the makers had released the first look as well. However a few changes were made to the story, which led to Suriya’s exit.

While it was speculated that Atharvaa may step into the project, the latest buzz is that actor Arun Vijay will play the lead role in Vanangaan, with the shooting set to take off in February 2023. However, no official announcement has been made by the makers.

If Arun Vijay is indeed playing the lead role in Vanangaan, it will be the first time the actor is collaborating with Bala, who has so far given hard-hitting films like Pithamagan, Paradesi, Avan Ivan, to name a few.

Initially, Vanangaan was supposed to be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. But the makers also noted that they are stepping out of this project. So the new production banner associated with the project is yet to be announced. Vanangaan also stars Krithi Shetty.

Meanwhile, Arun Vijay, who was last seen in Sinam, is currently shooting for Vijay's Acham Enbathu Illayae. The film also stars Amy Jackson and Nimisha Sajayan. Arun Vijay is also awaiting the release of Borrder.
