Vijay Sethupathi plays a negative role in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, confirms his team

It has also been clarified that Vijay Sethupathi is not part of any Telugu projects as is being speculated

Speculations about Vijay Sethupathi starring in the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-Atlee film Jawan have been doing the rounds for a while now. The actor's PR team have now confirmed the same. In a statement shared on Twitter, it has been revealed that Vijay Sethupathi is playing a negative role in Jawan. It has also been clarified that he is not part of any Telugu projects as is being speculated.

Jawan, billed as an action thriller, stars Nayanthara as the female lead. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover are also said to be part of the cast. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film. Bcaked by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is slated to release on June 2, 2023 across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has a couple of other Hindi projects lined up. He is playing one of the leads in the Santosh Sivan directorial Mumbaikar, which is the official remake of Tamil film, Maanagaram. Vijay Sethupathi is also teaming up with Sriram Raghavan for Merry Christmas, co-starring Katrina Kaif.
