Speculations are rife that director Sri Ganesh is in talks with Ajith Kumar for his next. Interestingly, the director's recent release Kuruthi Aattam had a lot of Ajith references in it, which has further fuelled the speculations.

Sri Ganesh, a former assistant of Mysskin, made his directorial debut in 2017 with 8 Thottakkal. Though his second film Kuruthi Aattam with Atharvaa got announced in 2018, it faced several delays before it hit screens last Friday (August 5). An official confirmation about his rumoured project with Ajith is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Ajith is busy shooting for his next with H Vinoth. Tentatively titled AK 61, the film marks the actor-director combo's third film together after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. After the completion of AK 61, Ajith will be teaming up with Vignesh Shivan for a film backed by Lyca Productions. The actor is also reportedly in talks for subsequent projects with Sudha Kongara and Pushkar-Gayatri.
