Kajal Aggarwal to resume shooting for Indian 2 

Actor Kajal Aggarwal, who gave birth to a baby boy a few months ago, will resume shooting for the upcoming Tamil film Indian 2. The actor will start filming from September 13.

The actor confirmed the same during an Instagram live session where she was in conversation with Neha Dhupia, talking about breastfeeding and motherhood.  The confirmation comes at the time when there were reports that Kajal was replaced by Deepika Padukone for the sequel.

Directed by Shankar, the upcoming film is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian. The film stars Kamal Haasan in the titular role. It also has a ensemble star cast, including, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddarth, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in prominent roles. 

Indian 2 has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who will be collaborating with Kamal for the second time after Vikram. The film which went on floors before the lockdown, met with a major obstacle in the form of an accident on the film's sets that resulted in the death of three crew members. While the pandemic created further difficulties, it got even more twisted with creative differences between the makers.
