Dhanush's Maaran final schedule begins

The final schedule of Dhanush's upcoming film Maaran has begun today. Director Karthick Naren informed the same through his official Instagram handle.

Maaran is billed as an investigative thriller in which Dhanush plays a journalist. The film has Virus writers Sharfu and Suhas penning the script, with lyricist Vivek making his screenwriting debut, credited for additional screenplay and dialogues.

Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead. Thadam fame Smruthi Venkat, Mahendran, Soorarai Pottru fame Krishna Kumar, and Samuthirakani are also part of the supporting cast.

GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music and cinematography is by Vivekanand Santhosham. The film is produced jointly by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's other projects include Thiruchitrambalam, Naane Varuven, a trilingual thriller with Sekhar Kammula, Selvaraghavan's sequel to Aayirathil Oruvan, Atrangi Re, an untitled film with Ramkumar, and Russo Brothers' The Gray Man.
