Anukreety Vas joins Vijay Sethupathi-Ponram film

The makers of the forthcoming Vijay Sethupathi film directed by Ponram have announced that model-actor Anukreety Vas, winner of Miss India World 2018, has been cast as the film's female lead. The film's production house, Sun Pictures, took to social media to announce the development yesterday, on the occasion of the actor's birthday.

Earlier it was announced that Anukreety will be making her acting debut alongside Prashanth in an A Venkatesh directorial, but the status of the project remains unclear. The Ponram film, on the other hand, is tentatively titled VJS 46. The film is reportedly an action entertainer featuring Vijay Sethupathi as a cop in Madurai.

VJS 46 has music by D Imman and further details related to the cast and crew are yet to be unveiled. Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has a long lineup of films including biggies such as Vikram and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. On the other hand, Ponram is currently awaiting the release of MGR Magan, starring Sasikumar in the lead role.
