Samuthirakani's Writer censored U/A

Samuthirakani's upcoming film Writer has cleared the censors and has got a U/A certificate. The police procedural revolves around an honest writer in a corrupt environment. 

The first look of the film was launched in April, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Interestingly, Samuthirakani’s look from the film bears a resemblance to BR Ambedkar. Directed by debutant Franklin Jacob, the film also stars Hari Krishnan, best known for his roles in Madras and Kabali and Maheshwari in important roles. 

Writer is jointly produced by Neelam Productions, Golden Ratio Films, Little Red Car Films, and Jetty Productions. 

Apart from this film, Samuthirakani has Yaanai, RRR, Andhagan and Don in various stages of production.
