Rajinikanth undergoes surgery: He is recovering well, says hospital

We had reported yesterday that actor Rajinikanth has been admitted to Kauvery Hospital, Chennai for what was said to be a routine check-up. It's now known that the star complained of giddiness and following the advice of the doctors, has successfully underdone a Carotid Artery Revascularization. 

A statement from the hospital was released a while ago which confirmed that the actor is likely to be discharged in a few days. The statement read, "Mr Rajinikanth was admitted in Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai yesterday (28th Oct 2021) following an episode of giddiness. He was thoroughly evaluated by the expert panel of doctors and was advised to undergo Carotid Artery Revascularization. The procedure was performed successfully today (29th Oct 2021) and he is recovering well. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days."

Family members of the actor are currently at the hospital and have also stated that Rajinikanth is doing well.
