Kamal Haasan: I wish my dear friend Rajinikanth a speedy recovery

We had earlier reported that actor and Dada Saheb Phalke award recipient Rajinikanth was admitted in a private hospital in Chennai. It's now known that the star complained of giddiness and following the advice of the doctors, has successfully underdone a Carotid Artery Revascularization. 

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan took to social media to wish his "dear friend" a speedy recovery. In a tweet, he said, "I wish my dear friend Rajinikanth, who is admitted in the hospital, a speedy recovery, and I wish he returns home soon with perfect health."

Meanwhile, a statement from the hospital was released, which confirmed that the actor is likely to be discharged only after a few days of observation. The statement read, "Mr Rajinikanth was admitted in Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai yesterday (28th Oct 2021) following an episode of giddiness. He was thoroughly evaluated by the expert panel of doctors and was advised to undergo Carotid Artery Revascularization. The procedure was performed successfully today (29th Oct 2021) and he is recovering well. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days."

Family members of the actor are currently at the hospital and have also stated that Rajinikanth is doing well.
