Venkat Prabhu, SJ Suryah, Silambarasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, costume designer Vasuki Baskar gathered on Twitter Spaces to celebrate the success of the film Maanaadu. The Spaces room was hosted by RJ Vijay and it saw the team thank fans for making their film a roaring success.

Venkat Prabhu spoke about how he went on rounds to different theatres to find out audience reactions, and he stood around to watch the portions that the audiences enjoyed the most. He also watched out for which parts of the film got the most claps and whistles.

When the mic passed over to SJ Suryah, the first thing he did was to thank the director for giving him a role that would remain one of the most memorable in his filmography. SJ Suryah also said that the reason why fans crowded the theatres despite the rain is the director and the script.

Venkat Prabhu, meanwhile, expressed that Simbu was the biggest reason for the film’s success. He revealed that Simbu encouraged the villain to be more fleshed out and in places, even receive more attention than the hero as well. He also said that not many heroes would accept such terms while signing on to a film.

Costume designer Vasuki also applauded Simbu for giving the director the freedom to develop the script the way it was meant to be. She was also happy that her brother got a chance to receive the kind of attention and love that he had always deserved.

Kalyani Priyadarshan, the female lead of Maanaadu ensured that her appreciation for the entire team was registered. She also pointed out that certain scenes in the film gave her an inkling of an idea that the film will be enjoyed by the audiences in the theatre. She and other cast and crew members were especially all praises for the “chair scene”.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who composed the music of the film also made it to the gathering. Everyone present shared their experiences about the music and the different compositions that they had loved of the composer’s work in the film.

Silamabarasan said that Maanaadu’s plot was like his life. The time loop was similar to how he returned every time after a fall. He also appreciated the love and work put in by all the crew and cast members of the Maanaadu
