
We had previously reported that Dhanush's 44th film is produced by Sun Pictures and will be directed by Mithran Jawahar, who had earlier teamed up with Dhanush in Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. It's now known that the film is titled Thiruchitrambalam.
The makers of the film released a video to reveal the title. The video features a set of invitations placed on a table along with flowers and an audio cassette marked as hits of Ilaiyaraaja.
Thiruchitrambalam, which stars Nithya Menen, Raashii Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bharathiraja and Prakash Raj, went on floors earlier today. With music by Dhanush's frequent collaborator Anirudh, the film's cinematography is handled by Om Prakash who had previously worked with Dhanush in films like Anegan, Maari, Maari 2 and Pattas. Prasanna GK, who debuted with Maari, is in charge of editing Thiruchitrambalam.
