David Schwimmer says shooting for Friends Reunion will begin within a month

Actor David Schwimmer has revealed that the much-awaited Friends Reunion Special will start rolling "in little over a month."

Schwimmer portrayed paleontologist Ross Geller in the hit American sitcom Friends. The reunion will bring together Courtney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Jennifer Anniston (Rachel Green), Matt Le Blanc (Joey Tribbiani), and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), besides Schwimmer (Ross).

New York Post reported Schwimmer telling Surius XM's host Andy Cohen, "Oh, it's happening. Actually, in a little over a month, I'm heading out to LA."

He added that a portion of the special will be filmed outside the studio due to the COVID-19 safety protocols in place.

During the chat, Schwimmer ruled out the possibility of the reunion special being hosted by Ellen DeGeneres or Billy Crystal.

The popular sitcom, which had a brilliant run from 1994 to 2004, was all set to return for an unscripted program on HBO Max. The reunion was supposed to be available earlier this year. However, the coronavirus pandemic has pushed the release of the special.
